as you know I am usually in agreement with the parents in cases of this sort but I must admit the fact that the mother told the boyfriend to go and get the wooden spoon to hit the child with bothers me , I once as a child saw a friend of mines mother take a big leather belt off a hook in the pantry, and make my friend bend over the settee and proceeded to smack her extremly hard with this belt not once but a few times, I remember being terrified and ran home , my friend had terrible marks on her. I was never hit with anything other than a hand from my parents, and I cannot see the need to have to get a weapon of any kind to hit a child with, so I am not suprised in this par :halo:ticular case that they got into trouble.
