Well, what can one say? This tawdry government and its "lacklustre band" of political incompetents, have "shown their true colours".
After a stirling campaign of support and many false promises, Browns cronies have dealt the final blow to the Gurkhas in their hope for equality and compassion. For years they have been treated as "second class" members of the Armed forces and now it would seem the government has managed to cynically manoeuvre its way around allowing them to stay in this country and receive some form of recognition for their valiant service.
In almost every conflict since the second world war, the Gurkha's have been proud and loyal to Great Britain. Their courage is legend and many have received medals or been mentioned in dispatches for their selfless heroism. Yet men who "sit at desks" and wouldn't know what heroism was if it fell out of a tree and hit them in the head, have ordained their fate.
If we held one minutes silence for every Gurkha that has laid down his life for our freedom, we would be silent for over two weeks, yet we are now silent as we watch our leaders betray them. Our leaders continually allow streams of immigrants into this country, who have no intention of working, live of benefits and hate our way of life. Yet they make no attempt to stem the flow of these economic migrants. Yet how can they put a stop to people coming here who have "served" our country and risked life and limb for us.?
Does this decision sicken you as much as it does me?
