Debbie

The ISP has messed up the transfer from myself to Debbie, so she is not currently online. Have sorted as much as I can, and hopefully Debbie can do her bit. Hopefully she will be back on soon.
Just thought I would let you all know in case you wonder where she has got to

Oh GOD I was on my mobile for AGES to Virgin - could not understand the woman so phoned back, got in another queue, explained again, got transferred to techie, could not get through, eventually got through at 25p a min, was on there for 15 mins, luckily because the fault was theirs they will reimburse the call charges - eventually - but finally got back online this evening!

unto a spot on the floor...
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.

I had an ISP in the 90’s, which was a ‘Direct Debit’, and when I finished with them, they were still taking my payment out.  After several phone calls at my expense, I finally got reimbursed.  I don't like 'Direct Debit' the banks are unable to stop it because it's an agreement between me/you and the Company (stupid I call it) When I objected to the bank, they told me that the only way I could stop it (without the offending Company's permission) was to close the account and open another one.  I think that if I had to do that, I would be opening an account with a different bank.  Are other countries the same with 'Direct Debit'?  :angry1:
