How to get rid of daisies
« on: 25 April 2008, 17:23:10 »
Our lawn is in need of a mow, and it`s covered in daisies. :dunno: :confused2: :sad11:
Any tips on what to use, to get shot of them, that is safe for children and cats. :ponder:

What's wrong with daisies?  I think they look nice.  And if you mow it, you'll cut all their heads off anyway.

Invite all the children and parents round and have an afternoon of making daisy chains. Why you would want to get rid of them is beyond me they are lovely. :halo:
we have so much to learn and such a short time to learn it in

Those were the days, sat on the field making daisy chains, and the grass cuttings, we make huge bird like nests.   :icon_thumright:

I don`t mind them, do think they look nice, just would love to have one of them nice smart lawns.
I never took much notice, it was my elderly neighbour was on about them to me,

Daisies are so lovely - don't kill them.

Tell your elderly neighbour to bog off and sort his own place out.

If you are looking for a safe WEEDKILLER however - can I recommend Roundup - it is safe for kids and pets.

Sunlight streams through the window pane
unto a spot on the floor...
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.

Most people over here use 'Roundup' but I use 'Zero'  Does anyone know if there's a difference? (apart from the name that is)

It's a worm or grub that devastates your law very quickly if not treated.  The first sign is a browning effect on your lawn, which spreads.  The Worm (Grub) eats the roots of your law and works its way across it till there's no grass left.

I'm going to the 'Garden Centre' today to get something for it, or I'll have to do what Rad says, "Concrete" and paint it green :laughing9:
