My lounge - before and after
« on: 08 March 2008, 14:05:44 »
I am now able to completely redecorate my lounge - so thought i would do some before and after pics.

As you can see - the carpet is not salvageable, so that will be replaced after the painting is done - off to focus later to look at colours.  Going to get the glossing done later.

After a major scrubbing the bed settee is ok, it actually comes out into a double bed, and I am going to get one of those thin folding mattresses to go on it, making it more comfortable.

Not sure of the colour scheme yet, but will post the pics as we go - hope you might find them interesting!

Sunlight streams through the window pane
unto a spot on the floor...
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.

I like decorating, specially when you see the before and after..

Looking forward to seeing how it looks after.

So how many of the ladies out there decorate ?

I ask because SWMBO loves her decorating so long as its not up ladders :wink10:
I may not be perfect, but being this close to it is spooky

I do, it`s quite theraputic you know.    :wink10: Probably decorate every year, different rooms each year,
I`m going tackle most of it this year, well that`s my plan.

Would do a ladder,  but not outside.

I do too - but prefer painting to papering.

I'm not crazy about painting and I don't like wallpaper but I'm a dab hand at putting furniture together.

Bit of an update - glossing and ceiling done, first coat on the walls - gives you an idea of the end colour.
